Tailored Insights & Preferences
Personalizing Your Rewards Engine
To provide recommendations that are both accurate and actionable, Credit Card Co-Pilot relies on a combination of your financial profile and your notification preferences. By tailoring these settings, you ensure that the system focuses on the milestones you can actually achieve and alerts you at the most effective times.
Monthly Spend Profiles
The foundation of your personalized insights is your Monthly Spend Profile. During onboarding or within your profile settings, you can define your typical monthly expenditure (e.g., ₹25k-50k or ₹1L-3L).
This profile serves two primary purposes:
- Milestone Feasibility: The engine prioritizes milestone tracking for cards where your spending habits align with the bank's requirements.
- Strategy Generation: Weekly spending strategies are calibrated to your budget, ensuring the "Next Best Action" is realistic for your cash flow.
Milestone Nudge Customization
Nudges are designed to prevent you from missing out on lucrative bonuses due to forgotten deadlines. You can fine-tune how and when these alerts appear to balance helpfulness with a noise-free experience:
- Nudge Window (Days): Define how many days before a period ends (monthly, quarterly, or annual) the app should start showing urgent alerts. For example, setting this to
7 daysensures you only see high-priority reminders when the deadline is imminent. - Cooldown Period (Hours): To prevent notification fatigue, you can set a cooldown window (e.g.,
12 hours). This ensures that even if you open the app multiple times, milestone reminders remain helpful rather than repetitive. - Toggle Alerts: You can globally enable or disable milestone reminders through the
milestone_reminder_enabledpreference.
Data Integrity & Manual Overrides
The Co-Pilot's intelligence grows as you interact with it. The Parser Review system allows you to refine how your transactions are interpreted, which directly impacts future reward calculations.
- Correcting Ambiguity: If the automated parser (via SMS or Gmail) is unsure of a merchant or a channel (Online vs. POS), you can manually set the correct label.
- Refining Reward Rules: You can provide feedback on transaction parsing to ensure the engine correctly identifies "Shopping" vs. "Dining" for specific merchants, leading to higher confidence in future recommendations.
- Merchant Keys: By labeling "Zomato" or "Amazon" correctly in the review screen, you help the system apply the most specific "Merchant Matrix" rules available in the database.
Wallet Optimization
The quality of insights is directly proportional to the completeness of your digital wallet.
- Multi-Card Logic: Adding 3 or more cards allows the recommendation engine to perform complex comparisons across different reward structures (Cashback vs. Points vs. Miles).
- Network Awareness: By specifying the network (Visa, Mastercard, RuPay, Amex), the app can filter recommendations based on merchant acceptance—especially useful for RuPay-specific UPI rewards.
Configuration Reference
While these are typically managed via the UI, the underlying system tracks these preferences to stay in sync with your needs:
| Preference Key | Description | Default |
| :--- | :--- | :--- |
| monthly_spend | Categorizes user into spend tiers for strategy logic. | 0-25k |
| milestone_nudge_window_days | Number of days before a deadline to trigger "Urgent" status. | 7 |
| milestone_nudge_cooldown_hours | Minimum time between repeated milestone alerts. | 12 |
| milestone_reminder_enabled | Master toggle for milestone-related push/in-app nudges. | true |
By keeping these preferences updated, Credit Card Co-Pilot evolves from a general tool into a bespoke financial assistant tailored to your specific wallet and goals.
